For riders, caregivers and facility staff

You saw “powered by MileCall” on your ride page.

MileCall is the software your transportation provider uses to plan rides and keep you posted. The ride is theirs. This page explains what you are looking at, in plain words.

Sample names throughout: Inland Care Transit, Rosa and the riders are made up.

First things first

Your ride is run by your transportation provider, not by us.

  • MileCall is the software your provider uses to plan rides and keep you posted. Their name is at the top of your ride page and on every text.
  • To book, change or cancel a ride, or to ask where your van is, call your provider. The number is on the texts and under Call on the page. We can’t change rides.
  • We don’t sell rides, and we don’t answer the phone for your provider.

Your ride page

How to read it.

Every ride gets its own page. Here is one, with sample names, and what each part means.
  1. Your provider’s nameThe ride is theirs. Español switches the whole page to Spanish.
  2. The mapThe van on its way, and your pickup marked.
  3. Where the ride isScheduled, On the way, Arrived, On board, Done.
  4. Minutes awayHow far your driver is, and about when they’ll arrive.
  5. Your pickup windowThe shaded band is the time the van is due to come. The dot is when it should arrive. Inside the band means on time.
  6. Your driver and the vanA first name and what to look for at the curb.
  7. CallOne tap calls your provider, not us.
  8. The small line at the bottomThat’s us, the software. Everything above it is your provider.

The texts

Reply C to confirm.

The day before, you get a reminder. On the day, a text when the van is on the way and one when it is close, with a link to your ride page.
  • Reply C to confirm. If you need to cancel, call the number in the text; a cancel request from the page reaches your provider’s dispatcher.
  • The texts come from your provider’s own number, in English or Spanish. No app, no login.

Good to know

Short answers.

No password
The link in your text is all you need. Keep it to yourself or share it with a family member who is helping you.
It stops after the ride
A few hours after your drop-off the link stops showing the ride. Your next ride gets a new link by text.
Spanish
Tap Español at the top of the page. Your provider can send the texts in Spanish too.
Nothing on your phone
The page is a web page, not an app. It shows where the van is while it is on the way to you; it doesn’t follow you.
We don’t sell rides
We don’t take bookings, payments or calls. Your provider does all of that.
Your provider sees your answer
If the page asks how the ride was, only your provider sees what you say.

Caregivers and facility staff

If you look after the rider.

A family member, a caregiver or the front desk at a clinic can be kept in the loop, if the provider adds you as a contact.
  • At a facility drop-off, the driver may ask a staff member for their name and a signature on the phone: some payers ask for it as proof of the ride.
  • To add or change a contact, ask the provider.

Riding with a provider

Your provider has the answers.

For a ride, a change or a question about today, call the number on your texts or tap Call on your ride page. We make the software; they run the ride.

Texts in English and Spanish, a C to confirm, and Where’s My Ride with your name on it.
